5 Tips for Getting Your Team to Actually RSVP

A roster full of maybes isn't a roster. Here's what's actually worked for teams using Blendeen to get real answers before game day.

1. Set a second reminder closer to kickoff. One reminder 24 hours out catches the planners; a second one 2-3 hours before catches everyone else who just hasn't opened the app yet.

2. Set an RSVP cutoff. Once people know yes/no locks an hour before practice, "I'll decide later" stops being an option — and you get a real headcount instead of a guess.

3. Let an admin RSVP on someone's behalf. Half your team will text the captain instead of opening the app — a quick admin override keeps the roster accurate without chasing anyone.

4. Keep the threshold push on. Nothing gets people off the fence faster than a notification that says "it's happening" the moment enough people are already in.

5. Make non-response the exception, not the norm. A short, direct nudge ("You coming?") outperforms a wall of text every time.
